Meet the Principal

Dear Lasley Elementary School Community,

It is with great enthusiasm and a heart full of optimism that I extend my warmest greetings to every one of you. My name is Lauren LeMarinel, and I am delighted to be stepping into my third year as the principal of this extraordinary school. Together, we will embark on a journey of growth, collaboration, and success as we embrace the opportunities that lie before us.

Having dedicated my entire career to education within Jeffco Public Schools and Aurora Public Schools, I bring a wealth of experience in serving elementary and middle school-aged students. It is a privilege to join this vibrant community, one that thrives on diversity and nurtures the potential of every individual.

As a leader, my passion lies in serving students while listening attentively to understand the diverse perspectives that shape our community. I firmly believe that the best solutions are found when we learn alongside one another, valuing the unique strengths and experiences each person brings to the table. Together, we will foster a collaborative environment that empowers our students to excel academically, emotionally and socially.

I understand that change can often bring about feelings of hesitation and apprehension, especially in a community that blends the old with the new. However, I assure you that I am wholeheartedly committed to ensuring a smooth and successful transition for all. Your concerns, hopes and dreams are of utmost importance to me, and I am here to listen, support and collaborate with you every step of the way.

I am thrilled to announce that this school year, we will be introducing a dual language program that will enhance the educational experience of our students. Through this program, we will embrace linguistic diversity and celebrate the richness of cultural heritage within our school. Additionally, I am dedicated to fostering an equity mindset that ensures every student, regardless of their background, feels valued, seen and empowered.
