First Grade

Mrs. Morrill  Hi!  My name is Alanna Morrill.  I am a  1st grade teacher at Lasley this year.  I have been teaching for 18 years in grades Prek-2nd.  I love first grade and I’m thrilled to be here!  I am a Denver native and graduated from Metropolitan State University.  I have been married to my husband Chris for 10 years and we enjoy traveling, playing golf, and rooting for our favorite sports teams.  We also enjoy attending concerts, ballets, and musicals.  Though we don’t have any children yet we do have a sassy cat named Bob.

 Mrs. Countryman

Greetings from 197! I am Tracy Countryman, and am so happy to be a First Grade Teacher! My personal goal in First Grade is to create an environment that is safe and inviting for students, so they can set their minds on learning to read. Of course, reading is not the ONLY thing your child will learn in first grade, but teaching reading is my favorite part of the day.
When I am not at school, I’m with my family: my husband Mike is a very easy-going fellow, and my daughter Anna is an active 4th grader. My mom lives 15 minutes away from us and showers us with home-cooked meals often. I am really fortunate to have a family that is loving and supportive. In our spare time we like to recreate together: hiking, biking, skiing, playing the piano and guitar, and traveling are our favorite things to do.
One last thing: the door is always open in Room 197. Come by anytime!

Mrs. Reynolds Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Kate Reynolds and I am a first grade teacher. This is my 29th year teaching and my 17th year here at Lasley Elementary. I have three sons (big baby, middle baby, and baby baby) who all attended Lasley K-6th grade. I also attended Lasley K-6th grade and continue to live in the community. With that said, I take great pride in our school and our community! I will guide, encourage, and care for each child’s individual needs throughout the year. I will show them that school is a safe, fun, consistent place to learn and explore!
