Fourth Grade

Mrs. Carpenter
I have had the pleasure of teaching here at Lasley for 15 years!  Teaching and working with the community is very rewarding. A positive learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between parent, child and teacher. I hope that we can work together to make it a year of growth, discovery, and significance for your child.  My expectations for behavior and standards for academic growth are high. In addition to teaching, I like to garden, travel, hike, and spend time with friends and family. I have three daughters and two grandchildren.

Ms. Ring My name is Meghan Ring and I am a 4th grade teacher here at Lasley Elementary School. This is my third year at Lasley, but I have been teaching for 10 years. I have taught 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade; 3rd and 4th are my favorite! I am a Colorado native and grew up right here in Lakewood. I attended Patterson, O'Connell and Alameda. I earned my degree from Metropolitan State University.
On my free time, my son Caden and I love to go fishing, go to the pool and hang out with family and friends. We also love to go to Avalanche, Rockies and Bronco Games! I love being here at Lasley and enjoy working with the amazing students and parents in this community.

Mr. Christenson  Hi my name is Nick Christenson, and I feel so fortunate to be in the profession of teaching. I love learning and continuing to learn through life and adventure. All students make this process even more exciting. I grew up in Minnesota and South Dakota where I would spend much of my time hunting and fishing and enjoying any adventure. I moved to Colorado 10 years ago to become a teacher and enjoy the skiing. Soon after receiving my diploma from Colorado Christian University I started my career working with students with emotional or behavioral needs. The following year I was a 4th grade teacher, and I love every minute of it. Colorado is one of the most special states in all of the country and I enjoy sharing my love for our world and our state as much as I can. Making connections to ourselves, others, our world, what we read, and even things on t.v. or events around the world empowers us to grow and learn. As students we continue to grow and make connections in our world to inspire us to be innovative, reflective, and creative. I hope to inspire all students and help change the world and how we see it, one student at a time.
