Meet Your Administration

Principal: Mrs. Lisa Nolan

Principal Nolan

I am very excited to be working with the entire Lasley community this academic year. I have great pride to serve as Lasley's principal, and believe in partnering with all of our students, parents, and community in helping our children to be successful. I'm so proud of every child at Lasley Elementary, and a fundamental core value of mine is that every child is a gift. I work very hard each day to help every child develop: academically, physically, mentally, and socially. Over the years, I've worked in many different educational roles including: Educational Assistant, Teacher, Dean, Assistant Principal, and Principal. I feel that my personal experiences help to make me a more effective leader.

My husband and I have a total of 5 children, 6 grandchildren (ages 5-20), and an incredibly loving (but spoiled) golden retriever named Bella. My family is my pride and joy. My hobbies include: water sports, camping, music, reading, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. Both my husband and I regularly enjoy volunteering at St. Anthony's Hospital. I am a proud Denver native, grew up in the Lasley area, and am a huge Bronco fan. I look forward to working with you!

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  It is truly an honor to serve as Lasley's assistant principal and I'm looking forward to closely partnering with you. I believe that every child has special strengths and talents, and have dedicated my life to working with children and their families to better develop each child's unique strengths and talents.

After graduating from the University of South Carolina as a biology major with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa, I gained admittance to some of our Nation's most prestigious and competitive medical schools (MD programs); yet, my real passion involves using educational and psychological principles to create individualized action plans to best help in the academic and social development of children.

Over the past 20 years, I've received top accolades for working with with elementary through university level children and adults as a(n): administrator, elementary school teacher, high school (chemistry, biology, and physics) teacher, doctor in psychology, affiliate professor of psychology/mental health consultant at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and clinical therapist.

In addition to working for Jefferson County Public Schools I am a(n): active member of the psychology faculty at Metropolitan State University of Denver as a(n) affiliate psychology professor specializing in Human Development/ Death and Dying/Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and am an evening/weekend clinical therapist conducting both individual and group psychotherapy to help Denver area residents reach their highest potential and overcome social, psychological, and emotional difficulties.

My wife is my best friend, and she is an elementary school teacher in the public schools. We are blessed to have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. We are huge animal lovers and have adopted 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 cockatiels. I'm happy to say that all of our four legged and feathered family members are rescues from over-crowded animal shelters. I look forward to working with you and your child. It is truly an exciting time to be part of the Lasley community!
